 | | The Antichrist: Church of Ireland: The Pope is not the Anti-Christ Monday, February 11 @ 08:18:20 CST by (1032 reads) | truthseeker3 writes "Friday, 1st February 2008
By: George Conger.
THE POPE is not the Antichrist, the Church of Ireland has declared.
In a statement released on Jan 23, the Church of Ireland distanced itself from comments made by an aide to Northern Ireland Enterprise Minister Nigel Dodds. Mr Wallace Thompson, an advisor to the minister and secretary of the Evangelical Protestant Society, told RTE radio he opposed plans for a visit to Ulster by the Pope, who was a ‘man of sin and son of perdition.’ "

United States’ President George W. Bush spoke this morning at the annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, at Washington’s Hilton Hotel, telling the crowd of Catholic faithful that the “promise of America” is in need of renewal and that such a renewal will come through a greater respect for human life and an active hand from religious groups.
“Our Declaration of Independence states that our freedom rests on self-evident truths about the dignity of the human person,” the president said. “Throughout our nation's history, Catholic Americans have embraced, sustained, and given their lives to defend these truths.”

I think my encouragement to kinists to not be pope praisers has been mischaracterized, then rejected. Should have expected as much.
What I did not say:
1. That we should ignore or refuse to help papists bleeding on the ground.
2. That we ought not to quote from romanists when they say something worth repeating.
3. That people ought to do what I say on their own blog.

The Antichrist: Pope Excommunicates China Bishops Saturday, May 06 @ 07:00:00 CDT by (571 reads) | Debbie writes "Pope excommunicates China bishops
Thursday, May 4, 2006 Posted: 1326 GMT (2126 HKT) BEIJING, China (AP) -- The Vatican has excommunicated two bishops ordained by China's state-approved Catholic church, as well as the two bishops who presided over the ceremony without Vatican consent. In a statement, Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said on Thursday the Roman Catholic Church's canon law states that in such a case excommunication is automatic. Earlier the Vatican strongly criticized the ordination of the bishops, saying they represented a "grave violation of religious freedom" and hindered dialogue between the Vatican and Beijing.
