How to Submit an Article to BiblicalAgrarianism.com Contributed by SanchoPanza on Sunday, October 16 @ 15:01:06 CDT

 | How to Submit an Article to BiblicalAgrarianism.com | There are many participants of the BiblicalAgrarianism.com (BA.com) website that would like to contribute by submitting articles of interest to the Biblical/Agrarian community, but hesitate to do so because they don't know how, or are intimidated by their computers and/or the internet.
| | No longer... |
Once you have found an article (or written one -- originality is highly valued at BA.com) you want to share, go look for the Submit News links found on most pages of the BA.com website. One can be found between the Home and Your Account links, which are in the bar under the Search function near the top of the page and above the Welcome to BiblicalAgrarianism.com message. You can also select the Submit News link from the Modules column along the left margin of the page. The result will be the same.
Once you arrive at the Submit News page, you'll be able to compose your submission.
Give your news article a title. If you are copying a news article from elsewhere on the internet, I recommend you not change the title from that already given to it by the news source.
Next, select a topic. If you can't figure out which topic to select, I suggest using the Regular News description. Can't hurt...
Next, you'll come to the Story Text box. This editor is meant for teaser text of your article, not the entire article. The first or second paragraphs of your article should be placed here; just enought to get your reader's interested in your article. This is what appears on the BA.com home page. Reader's interested in the rest of the article will then select Read More link at the bottom of your article teaser to go to the BA.com page dedicated to your entire article.
Below the Story Text editor you'll find the Extended Text editor. THIS is where you place the rest of your article; the part that didn't make into the teaser (in the Story Text editor).
If you aren't writing your own articles, be sure to include the author's information, including where the article was found on the internet (if that's where you found it.) A good place to do that is at the bottom of the article. Allow a few lines of space between the article and your cite. A cite can be as simple as typing the address of the web page where you found the article. Make it reader friendly by making it a hot link so that when readers click their mouses on it they will be taken directly to the original article.
To do that, take note of the web address of the article. The web address can be found in your browser's (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) address bar generally found near the top of your viewing screen. If you right-click your mouse in the address bar you can copy the address. Place your cursor at the location in the Extended Text editor where you want to insert your hyperlink (at the BA.com web site). You may use the editor's paste function in the tool bars above the editing area, you can right-click again and select paste or you may press ctrl-v on your keyboard. This action inserts the web address you had previously copied to the clipboard and should look similar to this: http://biblicalagrarianism.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=199&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0
Finally, you may Preview your article or submit it for approval by the Editor. Contributors should preview their submissions and make corrections or additionsas necessary. Once you press Ok! the editing function will be out of your control. What I'm trying to say is please be sure that your submission is in final form before you submit otherwise, the Editor needs to make corrections to your article, which is extremely time consuming, or it may cause your article to not get posted entirely.
Following the simple steps covered above will ensure you provide user-friendly information and make your contributions all the more valuable. If you have any questions about this article please contact the author direcly by clicking HERE.
Above all, don't be afraid to experiment with your submissions. If worse-comes-to-worse, the Editor can always delete your submission...and you can submit a new article.
Happy posting!

Thanks for the instructions on posting an article. I have always just used the extended text, however, the pictures with the articles I have submitted are not showing. Help me out here, will ya?
BTW, they had 23 posts ahead of mine yesterday!
